In response the president Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (Sona), Freedom Front Plus (FFP) leader Pieter Groenewald requested he publicly condemn farm murders.
It’s a crime against the community and not about race or the individual. The women and children who are tortured with boiling water down their throat, burnt with hot irons or forcing the child to watch her mother get raped yet farm murders have not been publicly condemned, said Groenewald.
He voiced how Ramaphosa discriminates against the young white people of South Africa with the Youth Employment Scheme where white people are not able to participate because of their race.
Groenewald said farm murders should be condemned in the same way last year’s mosque attack was.
Ramaphosa’s response is expected on Wednesday.
eNCA reported that last year AfriForum said that comparing the first six months of 2018 to those of 2017 there had been a 35 percent increase in farm attacks in the country.
