Director of Koroneka Trading, Babadi Tlatsana testified to the Zondo Commission of Inquiry on Saturday that she received death threats.
EWN reported that according to Tlatsana there was no proper procurement process followed for the implementation of the SA Express contracts she received for the operation of Mafikeng and Pilanesberg airports.
Koroneka was appointed to control the ground services at both airports but Tlatsana locked SA Express manager Brian van Wyk out of her business accounts when she realised they were being misused.
While attending a funeral in Mafikeng a man approached Tlatsana and asked why she was there as the former North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo wanted her killed as it was assumed she had run away with the airport money.
Van Wyk was processing the R20-million payments to certain African National Congress (ANC) politicians such as Mahumapelo and former ministers Dipuo Peters and Lynne Brown.
Mahumapelo has denied certain allegations and according to a statement will be consulting with his lawyers.
