Two paramedics shot and robbed in Durban

A police hunt is underway for a suspect involved in the shooting of two paramedics during the early hours of Wednesday morning in Inanda, nother of Durban.

The Emergency Medical Services paramedics were allegedly shot by an unknown gunman at around 2am while tending to a scene in the Matikwe area of Inanda township.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele told IOL that both paramedics had sustained abdominal and hand injuries and were taken to hospital in a critical condition.

A cellphone was stolen and a cash of attempted murder and robbery are being investigated.
