Informal traders to receive R10M investment from City of Cape Town

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Management Directorate plans to invest R10-million into the development of informal trading.

The directorate will host a series of skills development sessions with local traders where they will address any issues and advise them of upcoming by-laws and policies.

They will focus on four to six areas of support said Grant Twigg, the Mayco Member for Urban Management.

An assessment will be done of the area where the traders operate and support will cover the upgrade and accessibility to ensure better security for the traders.
