Investigators still no closer to finding Sandra Moonsamy

Three weeks into the search for Westville mother and businesswoman, Sandra Moonsamy and there have been no positive leads or any word from the kidnappers.

The 45-year-old financial director of Crossmoor Transport Plant was kidnapped in Stapleton Road, Pinetown on Thursday, May 30.

A private investigator, Brad Nathanson who was assisting the family said that false reports on social media were hindering the Hawks investigations.

The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, also known as the Hawks are not revealing any information regarding their investigation.

There have been unconfirmed reports doing the rounds on social media but police are still investigating the case and no suspects have been apprehended.

There were reports of a false email which claimed to be the kidnappers demanding 30 Bitcoins (R3,45-million) but investigations proved it to be fake.

Despite a hefty reward being offered by the family, no reliable information has been received and Moonsamy’s disappearance remains a mystery.
