ANC Women’s League president Bathabile Dlamini tendered her resignation on Monday as Minister of Women in the Presidency shortly after the resignations of Siyabonga Cwele and Jeff Radebe as MPs.
In a 10 page letter which was sent to ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule, Dlamini has spoken her mind regarding the ANC and her involvement in the grants debacle of 2017, and dragging several people down.
She has said that she has no grudges regarding not being appointed as part of the cabinet.
It is believed that she will continue as president of the ANCWL.
In her letter she states that the ANC are not ready to be lead by women and do not understand how vital the role of women are in the government.
Dlamini was criticised for mismanaging SASSA as she spent millions of public money trying to change the system for social grants but ended up reverting back to CPS. She said in her letter that there was vested interest from the wives of several ANC members and as they are well respected, she was made the scapegoat.
She is also warning president Cyril Ramaphosa that his time might also be limited as members of the ANC NEC have targeted previous leaders of the party and it’s only time before they reveal their plan of action.
