The sardines are on their way to KZN

Every year hoards of people eagerly await the silvery fish to reach the shores of the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and for those who watch out for the reports, we have great news – the sardines were spotted off the Transkei coast on Wednesday.

The KZN Sharks Boards HOD of operations, Grey Thompson says that it could take them a few weeks to head north but there have been reports of activity in the Eastern Cape in the vicinity of the Haven Hotel and Hole in the Wall.

Weather reports show that there are South Westerly winds expected next week which could cause the sardines to move further north, and while anything is possible, those in the know say they don’t think we will see any sardines for another few weeks.
