Grace Mugabe’s housekeeper charges her with assault after being beaten in the face

Former Zimbabwe first lady Grace Mugabe has been charge with another case of assault, this time for allegedly beating her domestic worker in Harare.

According to The Telegraph, 53-year-old Grace was angered after her 95-year-old husband gave the housekeeper cash as a wedding gift and she allegedly hit the woman in the face with a shoe until she bled.

Shupikai Chiroodza, who was previously employed by the government at State House, a 10 000 square meter residence which was build by Mugabe 15 years ago, but which he chose not to reside in.

Chiroodza said in her court application that Mrs Mugabe grabbed her by the neck and pulled her into the house before beating her with her fists and accusing her of milking Mugabe of his money.

Grace then allegedly removed her shoes during the incident which occurred on March 13, and continued to assault Chiroodza until blood gushed from her face.

Mrs Mugabe is also wanted in South Africa on charges of assaulting a Johannesburg model, Gabriella Engels with an extension cord at a Sandton hotel.

It was reported that the National Prosecuting Authority applied to have Grace extradited after she fled South Africa.
