They say ‘bad publicity is good publicity’ and the African National Congress (ANC) certainly knows how to get people talking.
A billboard in Port Elizabeth which contains a spelling error, went viral on social media on Tuesday with hashtag ‘English never loved us’ trending on Twitter.
The ANC claimed the error on the poster which should read the word ‘together’, but instead reads ‘togher’ was human error on the part of the service provider.
Workers attempted to place a sticker over the error but gusting winds prevented their efforts and they will need to return at a later stage.
The ANC says the error will not hamper their campaign efforts in Nelson Mandela Bay.
