Dros rapist admitted to hospital after injecting drug concoction

Dros rapist accused Nicholas Ninow has allegedly been admitted to hospital following a drug overdose while in prison.

According to the Citizen, it is alleged that the 21-year-old injected a concoction of drugs into the wrong vein on Friday and was admitted to hospital when his arm became completely swollen.

Anti-rape organisation #NotInMyName’s, Kgosi Mampuru said the mixture of drugs had been smuggled into the prison.

Ninow’s grandmother apparently brought food for him after he was seen looking very thin in prison and he allegedly exchanged the food for drugs with other inmates.

On February 8, following a 30-day psychiatric evaluation at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital, Ninow was declared fit to stand trial.

His trial is set to start on September 9 where he faces five counts of rape, assault, possession of drugs, defeating the ends of justice and kidnapping.
