Audio recorded of Mazibuko’s racist threats to staff

Sports and Recreation Department MEC Faith Mazibuko claims to want to build a non-racial and non-sexist society yet an audio clip which is currently doing the rounds speaks volumes about her.

In the clip shared by EWN, Mazibuko is heard demanding that her subordinates to disregard procedure and speed up the building of sports facilities in order to gain votes for the African National Congress (ANC) ahead of the elections.

The MEC can be heard telling the staff that they must be grateful for their positions because they are women and especially because they are Indian and White respectively.

Mazibuko is also heard threatening the ladies with dismissal if they fail to carry out her instructions and if necessary they must build the combi courts with their own hands.

A combi court is a multi purpose sporting court which can cater for tennis, netball, volleyball and basketball.

On Thursday the MEC released a statement of apology for her tone and improper language, however the ANC in Gauteng have stated that her comments go against the values of the party and she needs to apologise to the Indian and White communities she offended.
