South Africans say Sona 2019 is boring

Despite social media predicting there would be the usual upheaval at this years State of the nation address, everything has gone smoothly.

President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his speech in a calm manor, detailing the government’s achievements and challenges as well as future plans.

No embarrassing drama came from the EFF, nobody walked out and nobody was forebly removed. In fact South Africans are claiming that this years Sona is boring because they are so used to seeing the mayhem that occurs.

Social media comments ranged from people saying they missed Jacob Zuma while others were waiting for the EFF to cause chaos.

Excitement rose when Floyd Shivambu stood up and accused Ramaphosa of plagiarism but he cracked a joke and the conflict was avoided.
