In a follow up to the arrests made by the Hawks on Wednesday in relation to the Bosasa bribery accusations, the five suspects were each granted R20,000 bail.
Former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi along with Andries Van Tonder, Frans Voster, Carlos Bonaficio and Patrick Gillingham appeared in the Specialised Commercial Crimes court in Pretoria following testimonies given at the State Capture Inquiry.
The five face charges of corruption, money laundering and fraud.
Linda Mti, former Correctional Services commissioner did not accompany them and his whereabouts is still in question.
It is up to the state to gather evidence as the Commission will not lay the grounds for the case. The matter has therefore been postponed until March 27 for investigation purposes.
EWN reported that the Hawks are not afraid to arrest anyone who has been accused of wrongdoing and have appealed to anyone with information regarding corruption to testify at the commission. There will be no repercussion on whistle-blowers.
