Capetonians are preparing themselves for heavy rains on Tuesday. Rainfall is expected to begin on Tuesday evening and continue coming down hard throughout the night and into Wednesday.
While temperatures aren’t expected to be as chilly as they were last week, the city areas are anticipating 15-25 cm of rain. However, surrounding areas such as Paarl and Stellenbosch are expected to get upwards of 45 cm of rain.
These downpours will be welcomed by locals, as it can only help raise the dam levels in the area. Areas near the large dams in the Western Cape will get anywhere from 20 to 35 cm of rain.
