Unexpected Warm Weather In Cape Town Halts Dam Recovery.

Cape Town has been experiencing a severe drought for the past few years that has impacted water consumption. This past week, 505 million liters per day were consumed in the city. However, experts push for continued water conservation efforts.

Recent forecasts for the City of Cape Town have predicted heavy rainfall. This rainfall was expected to significantly raise water levels in dams in the Western Cape. However, the past few days have shown that weather can be quite unpredictable. The warm and windy weather has drastically impacted dam recovery. While dam levels did raise 0.2%, this number is much lower than was expected.
