Eskom and Unions Meet to Discuss Wage Offer.

Eskom and union members are in the process of coming to an agreement to increase wages and end the current strike. Unions are adamant about an 8% salary increase and Eskom has confirmed that during recent discussions, they agreed to increase salaries above their previous 7% offer.

While the meeting seemed to be productive and the union is in the process of speaking with their members, they have yet to sign a formal agreement. Sources say that the union’s request for housing allowances and bonuses are slowing down the deliberation process.
