The 21-year old Norwegian student that went missing nearly three ago now has yet to be found. According to local authorities neither any leads or evidence of what may have happened have been established.
The search began for Marie Ostbo on the evening of the 19th April in Sedgefield, Western Cape. It was reported she was last seen walking on the beach after leaving a restaurant with a group of people on 19 April. Marie was on a tour of the garden route with a group of international students.
Shortly after being reported missing, an extensive land, sea and air search operation was commenced yielding no conclusive results to date. The authorities found her cellphone, hat and shoes on the beach.
